Cold weather brings record So. Cal low
LOS ANGELES—Southern California is shivering under record cold with sub-freezing temperatures in the mountains and deserts.

The National Weather Service says the temperature dipped to 14 degrees in the high desert town of Lancaster Thursday morning, breaking a 2006 record low for the date. Neighboring Palmdale had 21.
I-5 reopens after massive 60-vehicle pileup - California
It's not known what caused the pileup, although the CHP says the roadway was icy. The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory for the area.
