COP18: 'Antiquated' environmental education direly needs update | Climate Change TV
COP18 (30/11/12) – Stephanie Hodge, Program Specialist (Education) for UNICEF, argues that a complete transformation is needed in climate change education and explains how UNICEF plans to drive that.
Hodge is categoric in stating that the way in which climate change and disaster risk reduction is taught in schools is irrelevant and ineffective. She describes it as ‘antiquated’ and in dire need of updating.

It should be noted that to include political content in UK schools is ILLEGAL! It makes no difference what is the subject, any political 'teaching' is ILLEGAL - full stop.
Climate change/sustainable development is a POLITICAL message, not a scientific one. The IPCC, UNFCCC, Kyoto, Doha etc. is a POLITICAL movement, and has NO place in education.
Any such move to include this material in educational curricula should be strongly resisted.
