A Second Morning of Record-Low Temperatures in Ramona - Ramona, CA Patch
Ramona residents endured a second morning of record-low temperatures Sunday when the thermometer dropped to 21 degrees, according to the National Weather Service.

The last time it was this cold in mid-January was in 2007, when records dating back to 1974 were broken. Sunday’s low broke 1997’s mark by two degrees, and Saturday’s low of 23 was one degree colder than the six-year-old record.

The cold air was flowing east into neighboring Arizona, where metropolitan Phoenix was approaching the halfway point in a four-day cold snap that's expected to mark the coolest stretch the area has seen since 1988.
