Text: President Obama's inaugural address
We, the people, still believe that our obligations as Americans are not just to ourselves, but to all posterity. We will respond to the threat of climate change, knowing that the failure to do so would betray our children and future generations. Some may still deny the overwhelming judgment of science, but none can avoid the devastating impact of raging fires, and crippling drought, and more powerful storms. The path towards sustainable energy sources will be long and sometimes difficult. But America cannot resist this transition; we must lead it. We cannot cede to other nations the technology that will power new jobs and new industries – we must claim its promise. That is how we will maintain our economic vitality and our national treasure – our forests and waterways; our croplands and snowcapped peaks. That is how we will preserve our planet, commanded to our care by God. That's what will lend meaning to the creed our fathers once declared.

A President who would mislead the people and pervert the scientific enterprise -- upon which our modern civilization is utterly dependent -- by pretending that a disproven and political "global warming consensus" is still the reigning authority, and by lying about the perfectly normal weather the world has experienced in recent months and years as though it were unprecedented and extreme, is no better than the traitor who lied to the people of America, and the world, for weeks (and had his surrogates repeat that lie, numerous times), in order to convince them that our Libyan Ambassador and 3 other Americans were killed as the result of an anti-Muslim video instead of the planned terrorist attack that any clear-headed citizen could see for him/herself that it really was, from the readily available news reports in the days immediately after the attack.
A habitually lying President is what you are, Mr. Obama. In my judgment, you have no more credibility than do the lead climate scientists, who like you are also political activists, rather than dispassionate authorities serving the public with the truth. Like them, you do not deserve your high position, Mr. Obama -- not at all. And the truth will out, for too many know it today, despite your best efforts to twist and deface it for your own ends.

Obama is absolutely correct about the wide-ranging effects of global warming caused directly by CO2 as verified by the majority of scientists.

We will respond to the threat of ballooning debt, knowing that the failure to do so would betray our children and future generations. Some may still deny the overwhelming judgment of economists, but none can avoid the devastating impact of raging spending, and crippling interest payments on our debt, and powerful special interests demanding their share of my money. The path towards sustainable spending will be long and sometimes difficult. But America cannot resist this transition; we must lead it. We cannot allow other nations to enable our growing debt, as it crushes new jobs and new industries – we must claim the promise of a budget surplus and shrinking debt. That is how we will maintain our economic vitality, for it is economic prosperity that funds the preservation of our national treasure – our forests and waterways; our croplands and snowcapped peaks. That is how we will preserve our planet, commanded to our care by God. That's what will lend meaning to the creed our fathers once declared.

What warming? Global surface temps measured by UAH, GISS, RSS and HadCRUT have temps as flat and on the decline for the past 16 yrs.

Obama suggests that we have to stop CO2-induced "raging fires, and crippling drought, and more powerful storms" because God has commanded us to preserve the planet. Well, I got one thing left to say, 'Wherever there are big dollars, big-corruption follows...right?' Why, because hundreds of peer reviewed paper finds the sun controls climate & 'gives no support to theory of anthropogenic climate change.' Frankly, I think Obama has gone a bit cuckoo in the head. The only difference now is that the whole world knows it and is wary of him. And what the future holds for a screwed-up America in 20 years time? America will elect a bi-sexual for President, a straight cross-dresser for vice-President and a gay immigrant for foreign Secretary of State.
