New Report: Wind Energy Benefits Overblown
The report ‘The Limits of Wind Power”, released today (MONDAY) by the Adam Smith Institute and US’s Reason Foundation, reveals that the heavy investment in wind power in the UK and US is misguided. Wind energy will never be suited as the lone or primary source of grid electricity due to its variable nature and will not deliver the environmental benefits expected.Wind Farms Are Destroying The Lake District | The Global Warming Policy Foundation (GWPF)
Britain’s most beautiful landscapes are at risk of being “disfigured and scarred” by up to 400 new wind turbines in the county of the Lake District, the head of Cumbria council has warned.Twitter / MichaelEMann: @CenkUygur exposes #KochBrothers ...

When you look at the tree rings that were laid down at times of large volcanic eruptions, the cooling in the reconstruction is much smaller than the dip in temperatures predicted by climate models.
Mann and his colleagues found that this could be explained by a failure of some trees to grow at all in that year, producing no ring whatsoever. Many of the trees used for temperature reconstructions grow at high altitudes, where their growth is limited by temperature. For some, a large, sudden cooling could push the tree below the minimum temperature threshold for growth.
