Cold snap hits navigation lights | Stuff.co.nz
Cold winter temperatures have caused a mass outage of navigation lights on marine farms around Tasman Bay and Golden Bay.
Tasman District Council harbourmaster Steve Hainstock said the cold weather had caused the solar-charged batteries that powered the lights to go on the blink en masse.
They will be replaced over three weeks from today.
