CO2-induced crop failure update: Record harvests estimated for Bangladesh, Philippines, and Indonesia

BusinessMirror - Global cereal output to reach historic high in 2013, says FAO
FAO said the outlook for harvest in the subregion [Far East Asia] is favorable in most countries due to generally beneficial weather, adequate supplies of fertilizer and irrigation water.

“Record first season harvests are estimated in Bangladesh and the Philippines, mainly reflecting an estimated expansion in plantings. Similarly, in Indonesia, the output of the main wet season paddy crop is estimated at 68.4 million tons, some 4.4 percent higher than last year’s record harvest,” the report read.
