SPEARFISH, South Dakota — Spearfish town leaders are looking for office space for a business outsourcing firm's call center whose building collapsed in last weekend's snowstorm.

Insurance adjustors inspected the TMone (T-M-one) center Tuesday to determine if the $4.2 million structure can be repaired.

The losses are being described as devastating. Tens of thousands of cattle are being found dead in pastures and range lands all over western South Dakota after the worst blizzard in recent memory.

It seems like Hudson Bay is a tipping canary-in-the-coal-mine point.

Surely this is some sort of record.

Hopefully it means the canary got tipped out of the coal mine and is now safe.
