But in the northern hemisphere, you don't want them moving south: Trees Migrating North Due to Warming
Other than the Ents of Lord of the Rings fame, trees generally aren't known for their mobility. So news that some tree species may be headed north at an average clip of 62 miles (100 kilometers) a century may come as a surprise.
Discoveries Of New Mammal Species Only A Warning For Humanity ~ Tech News Watch
In the era of global warming, when many scientists say we are experiencing a human-caused mass extinction
to rival the one that killed off the dinosaurs, one might think that the discovery of a host of new species would be cause for joy. Not entirely so, says Paul Ehrlich, co-author of an analysis of the 408 new mammalian species discovered since 1993.

It appears the drop in cloud amount during El Nino events would be a significant factor in recharging the Pacific Warm Pool.
How can anyone possibly claim that they've written a climate model that gets ALL of this stuff right?

The majority of GCMs DO NOT model ENSO. Therefore, they fail to account for major ENSO-induced shifts in SST in the East Indian, West Pacific, and North Atlantic Oceans. And those GCMs that attempt to model ENSO do it poorly, missing many of the processes before, during, and after ENSO events.
