We The People.ORG » Blog Archive » Cap And Trade, Once Again With Feeling
For those of you relatively new to our blog, I am pulling this very early piece forward and posting it again, with minor changes. You need to fully understand WHY cap and trade will be a disaster for America, and you must resist it at all cost.

Thanks to the Internet, it’s fairly easy to get ahold of key documents. Here are some quotes from a document we found posted online by an organization that has obviously put a lot of effort into the concept of cap-and-trade. You’ll quickly see why this concept is a big financial scam designed to capitalize on Al Gore’s big global warming hoax. Little surprise that Al Gore is now in bed with the venture capitalist firm, Kleiner-Perkins, to develop a means for buying “carbon credits.”

In short, we think cap-and-trade is a bizarre form of socialism, perhaps of the fascist variety. The government will seize control of our energy industry and reap massive “profits.” So, I guess it’s not enough to seize control of our medical industry, the banking industry, the auto industry, and God only knows what else.
California to reduce carbon emissions by... banning black cars?!
In a move that will likely get California's consumers in a huff, impending legislation may soon restrict the paint color options for Golden State residents looking for their next new vehicle. The specific colors that are currently on the chopping block are all dark hues, with the worst offender seemingly the most innocuous color you could think of: Black. What could California possibly have against these colors, you ask? Apparently, the California Air Resources Board figures that the climate control systems of dark colored cars need to work harder than their lighter siblings – especially after sitting in the sun for a few hours. Anyone living in a hot, sunny climate will tell you that this assumption is accurate, of course. In fact, legislation already exists for buildings that has proven successful at reducing the energy consumption of skyscrapers.
Jennifer Marohasy » Confirmation Bias at the Australian Bureau of Meteorology
The following note from Steve Jones explains in some detail his concerns regarding the quality of data collection and processes at the Australian Bureau of Meteorology.

Hi Jennifer,

It is my view that the Australian Bureau of Meteorology is currently tampering with its climate data to fit in with the global warming theory...
The Energy Strangulation Strategy (the Obama game plan emerges) — MasterResource
There can be only one accurate description of what is going on here: this is a strategy of intentional energy strangulation. The Left environmental movement, now running the show in Washington, is determined to put America in an energy-straitjacket in order to limit our ability to harm (or benefit from) the resources of the Earth, which they view as holy ground. Protecting the Earth is, to them, far more important than protecting human health and welfare. And at times they’re not afraid to say it...
Green energy plans in disarray as wind farm giant slashes investment - Times Online
Britain’s ambition to become a global leader in renewable energy suffered a major setback last night when the world’s biggest investor in wind power said that it was slashing its investment programme.

The announcement comes less than two months after ministers backed a string of huge gas-fired power stations, prompting concern that the Government cannot fulfil its promise of a green energy revolution.

Iberdrola Renewables’ decision to cut its investment in Britain by more than 40 per cent, or £300 million — enough to build a wind farm powering 200,000 homes — is the latest obstacle to Gordon Brown’s target of generating 35 per cent of the country’s electricity from renewable sources by 2020.
